No Crack Here
Dr. Miner’s Weekly Wellness Wisdom
In our world at Health Quest, “crack” is a bad word. When a practice member states “please crack my neck Doc,” I cringe. Other nasty bad words are “snap,” “pop,” and “crunch.” All of these words are offensive to me because they minimize just how powerful the adjustment is. What other profession has the ability to release a person’s full potential with the human hand? What other profession IGNITES the breath of life that God has breathed into each of us? Chiropractic is such an amazing thing if you stop for a second to ponder this. The only thing that we work with is the life force coursing over your nerves. We do not add anything to your body, and we certainly do not take anything away. In many cases, the adjustment releases life back into your body when the inordinate amount of life stress we all deal with blocks this power from flowing to every cell inside of you. No drug, no diet, no exercise routine can do this for you. Only an adjustment can. What is even worse than the words above, is when other health care professionals, even some Chiropractors, use the word “manipulate.” I do not like to be manipulated in any way, and my guess is you do not either. A proper adjustment is delivered from a place of love, certainty, presence, and gratitude. Manipulation has nothing to do with any of these things. This distinction, I believe, is what make a Health Quest adjustment such an amazing thing! |
